1st of all, the Marines is the only service that can switch to any other without going through boot camp. That being said, I’ll explain the yelling. Webern you are the sides of the fire, you need to be harden, and just do what you learned to do. In the marines corps is to be a devil dog, super man,invisible, fearless in the face of death. We are the modern version of the Spartans. So back to the yelling, why they do it.. simple answers is to deprogrammed our identity and build us to be a worrier that can better deal with fog of war. When your sleeping and bombs drop or rifle fire you have to react. If you don’t like that. Join the Pierce corps.

October 13 1968 at 1:30 am I got my first introduction to intense direction. It was an intense awaking to Marine Reality! If boot camp wasn't hard everybody wouldn't be convinced he was invincible. We were told that we were already men but our corps would transform us into marines , all we had to do was endure the forge of pain and discipline required to change us from undisciplined to a true believer! Boot camp truly changed me to a Marine! Once a Marine Always a Marine is true!!

My son graduates tomorrow and I'm so proud of him! I can't wait to see him again!
